Daniel M. Greene is Board Certified by The Florida Bar in Construction Law(2007-present), a Florida licensed Certified General Contractor (inactive), and a Florida Supreme Court Certified Circuit Civil Mediator and Appellate Mediator. In 2009 he was named a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers in the areas of Construction/Surety law. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Northeastern University and his law degree from the University of Florida Levin College of Law.
He practices in the area of construction litigation, civil litigation, insurance coverage, real estate, business litigation, and commercial litigation. His specialty is construction law. He is experienced in representing business owners and individuals in the purchase and sale of businesses, litigation of business claims such as covenants not to compete, business interference, defamation, collections, and landlord/tenant matters. His construction law practice is enhanced by his prior civil engineering experience as a project engineer and superintendent for a large general contractor and as a design engineer for a civil engineering firm. He has represented public and private owners, general contractors, subcontractors, architects, engineers, sureties and others in the construction industry. He is experienced in construction disputes involving delay claims, construction and design defects, lien and bond claims, contracts and wrongful termination, among others. He helps clients avoid litigation with contract drafting, but will handle disputes through negotiation, mediation, arbitration, litigation and administrative proceedings.
Mr. Greene has lectured on Florida lien and bond issues to trade organizations and clients. Including Lorman Seminars "What to do When Construction Projects Go Bad" 2012; "Public Contracts & Procurement Regulations" 2012.
